Iris
Privacy
Your thoughts are yours. Iris is built to collect less, keep private writing out of advertising, and leave you in control.
What Iris stores
Your account details, the reflections and context you choose to save, generated responses and letters, preferences, and limited operational records needed to provide and protect the service. If you turn on gentle notes, Iris also stores the notification token needed to reach that device.
How your writing is used
Your writing is used to provide reflection, memory, search, and letter features. It is not sold, used for targeted advertising, or sent as content to product analytics. AI processing is disclosed and controlled through the app.
Your choices
- Review and delete individual memories and entries.
- Change what Iris may remember.
- Turn notifications off and remove the device registration.
- Export a portable copy of your data.
- Delete your Iris account and user-owned data.
Security and retention
Transport encryption, account-scoped database policies, server-only provider secrets, and restricted logging protect private content. Deleted source content also removes related derived memories and embeddings through database lifecycle rules.
Contact and effective date
This policy is a product-complete draft for review before public launch. The final legal entity, privacy contact, jurisdiction, retention periods, subprocessors, and effective date must be supplied and approved before production release.
